full months already and he is all over the house, literally. For now, he can't open doors so that helps keep him out of trouble, but I still find myself trailing him all over the place...which makes it difficult to do food prep throughout the day and at dinner. I've found myself relying on slow cooker meals more often, with this being one of the reasons. I can load it up while he's having his breakfast! We will continue to adapt our meal plans and cooking as we keep up with all these boys!
Now on to this week's yummy recipes...
I am in complete denial about something that happened this past week.
My baby turned 1.
He is the baby, will always be the baby, as we don't have plans to add anymore boys (or girls) to the mix here. We're filled to the brim with testosterone, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
But seriously, I feel like I blinked and he turned one. Cuatro traveled with me all over the US last year and very well could be in the running for most traveled baby by the age of 1. He went to New York, Los Angeles several times, Minnesota, and Ohio, twice. And Florida. I'm so blessed to have been able to spend so much quality time with him and to get to travel with him.
Cuatro is a precious, sweet baby boy with so much curiousity and zest for life. He loves playing with his big brothers and his new furry brother too. Cuatro has been walking for 2
One of my favorite How To's that I use monthly is Batch Cooking, preparing meals in batches, some to eat that week and some to freeze for the future. But, did you know that your outdoor grill is a fantastic way to use this batch cooking method to prepare meat like chicken breasts?

The $5 Dinner Mom
I have a little problem. I can not make a meal for my family that costs more than $5. My mind is filled with prices on my favorite ingredients, and frugal recipes that can be made for less than 5 bucks. It’s unnatural, really. But, my pocketbook thanks me!
